New FCC Fees affecting Amateur Radio Licensing go into effect on April 19, 2022.
We've added a new FCC Fee Notice page to our website dedicated to sharing the information we have related to these new fees. This information is relatively new and may change as we learn more, so please continue to check for new information on the FCC Fee Notice page.

Due to the sharp increase in positive COVID testing, the MRAC VEC is implementing additional COVID precautions, effective immediately (and until further notice).

We have added new information to our website regarding candidate information made publicly available by the FCC and new fees being imposed by the FCC. While we do not yet know when the new fees will go into effect, we want to proactively share the information currently available. Please see this page for additional information. We will update this information as more details are available.

Going forward, it is no longer necessary to make a reservation for an exam session and you can take multiple exams during a single exam session.
Additional information about what to bring with you to the exam session is located on the What To Bring page of this web site.

Due to the sharp increase in positive COVID testing, the MRAC VEC is implementing additional COVID precautions, effective immediately (and until further notice).
- Anyone entering the building (including classroom and testing areas) must wear a mask covering both your mouth and nose. If you are exhibiting COVID-related symptoms, please do not attend the exam session. The MRAC VEC, Inc. reserves the right to ask a candidate to leave and attend a future exam session if they exhibit potential symptoms.
- Everyone must practice social distancing
- Candidates taking an exam must bring their own calculator, pens and pencils (suggest two of each), and calculator if needed
- Chairs and tables will be wiped down before being used
